Focus & Scope
The Journal
of Urban and Regional Analysis (JURA) has been launched as a response to the
exciting world of urban and regional research that has emerged in response to
the continuous changes of the real world, under the impact of economic
globalization in national and local arenas. It aims to publish original academic research, critical studies and
discussions of the highest scholar standard in the field of urban and regional
development. The Journal considers the analysis of urban and regional
development as an interdisciplinary process and seeks to redefine and
reinvigorate the links between geography, sociology, planning, economy,
psychology and political science.
Initially JURA
has been primarily concerned with studying urban and regional change in the
transitional East European economies, however, and with passing time, case
studies exploring similar problems in other parts of the world are certainly encouraged
together with studies on regional economic disparities, uneven development and
transformation in the rural space.
